Mathu Vadalara Movie Review

The story follows Babu (Sri Simha Koduri), a frustrated delivery boy struggling with low pay and a subsistence lifestyle. His friend Yesu (Satya) suggests a shady plan to make quick money by cheating customers, but it backfires spectacularly, landing Babu in a web of trouble involving a supposed murder and a drug racket. As Babu, Yesu, and their friend Abhi (Naresh Agastya) navigate a series of chaotic events, the plot unravels with unexpected twists, keeping viewers on edge. The title, inspired by a song from Sri Krishna Pandaveeyam (1966), hints at the hallucinogenic misadventure triggered by Babu’s accidental consumption of drug-laced water.

Sri Simha Koduri, making his debut as Babu, delivers a commendable performance, portraying vulnerability and desperation with authenticity. While he shows promise, some emotional scenes could have been sharper. Satya steals the show as Yesu, infusing the film with infectious energy and impeccable comedic timing. His dramatic-comedy avatar is a highlight, though some reactions feel exaggerated in intense moments. Naresh Agastya as Abhi provides steady support, adding depth to the trio’s camaraderie. Supporting actors like Vennela Kishore and Brahmaji are underutilized but effective in their limited roles.
