28 Degree Celsius 2025 Movie Review

Karthik and Shalini Vadnikatti as Anjali, centers on a medical student couple whose love story takes a tragic turn after Anjali develops a rare condition requiring her body temperature to remain at exactly 28°C to survive. The couple moves to Georgia for treatment, but unexpected twists and a mysterious death unravel a suspenseful narrative.

The film’s concept—a medical condition tied to love and survival—is fresh and intriguing. Naveen Chandra delivers a sincere performance, with strong emotional depth, and Shalini Vadnikatti complements him with natural acting and decent chemistry. The cinematography by Vamsi Patchipulusu is visually appealing, and the background score by Sricharan Pakala enhances the thriller elements in parts. Some romantic dialogues and scenes, particularly before the interval, add emotional weight.

Critics and audiences widely note the film’s uneven pacing, especially in the second half, where the narrative drags and shifts abruptly from romance to thriller, disrupting cohesion. The plot twists are often predictable, drawing comparisons to films like Orphan, and the screenplay lacks depth in exploring the medical condition.

Direction and editing (by Garry BH) have been criticized for feeling outdated, possibly due to the film being shot in 2016 and released years later. Supporting actors like Priyadarshi and Viva Harsha add little impact, and the inclusion of 3-4 songs in a 109-minute runtime feels excessive and disrupts the flow. Some viewers found the dialogues poorly written and the overall execution amateurish, with one review calling it “a masterclass in how not to make a movie.
